I do often think sometimes that I'm sensative to spirits/ ghosts not like a medium would be but I feel I know when there is something there and things then tend to happen before I even know the place is haunted by people telling me. I just know. prime example is that stuff hasnt happened in ages on this ward I've just started working on. I was sat at the end of the ward and hurd footsteps down a part of the building that was lock. worried about security I went down there, then to hear the doors open at the other end and nothing there. I like this kinda thing, but it does sometimes scare me. hehe but then I think thats only natural for some people aspecially when your on your own in the dark when you know there is no physical person down there.

let's just get this right.....
you go trotting off down a darkened ward like Zena Warrior Princess because you think an intruder is around yet you're scared of a couple of iddy biddy spirit friends. lol
Seriously, I know exactly what you mean but I think sometimes because our adrenelin is pumping around our little bodies and the atmosphere lends itself to a sense of the unknown we do feel a little afraid but I always think its outweighed by the excitement and anticipation. The important thing is not to block out those feelings that you get whether it be fear, curiosity or excitement, that's your sixth sense telling you what's down that corridor!

Hehe ;D to be honest not too sure what I would have done one way or the other - spirit or man. As much as I am scared I wanna know, I want to know if what I think is down there is what I think it is and to prove to myself I'm not over reacting. I kinda knew for a fact it wasnt n e one physically down there it would have had to come passed the nurses station first. I mean come on like you said your in the dark your on your own ( well you know what I mean by that) and theres footsteps with no body attached! hehe.

Well in normal work settings maybe. but the ward I'm currently studying on ( Student Nurse by the way hehe) its away from the hospital an next door to the cemetery! which kinda sets an atmosphere. I felt ok nowing that there where staff about but i dont think I mentioned that it was a night shift and it was arround two in the morning! so it was pitch black and we were not aloud any lights on apart from a tourch! and this was a pathetic nero obs tourch ( pen tourch!) so I was scared - because I'm slightly scared of the dark.
going back to cemeteries, Its funny how people are scared of them because they think that ghosts/spirit would be there, but if you think about it most ghost/ spirits tend to be places where there memories are or where tragadies happened. Strange that.

Eeeeek !! Now that DOES sound scary !! Yes I agree about the graveyard theory. I guess that people are naturally afraid anyway because of how they are portrayed but most likely there are not as many hauntings in them as one may imagine. Mandy

To be honest....I think the graveyard fear is due to the 'night of the living dead' films!!!....lol.....no one is really scared of the spirits that may or may not be there......it's the bodies that are still there that worries them!!!!!!.......no one likes Zombies!!!!........mmmm....brains!!!!.......lol
I have a queary.............Why is it that if mediums can talk to spirits, that the spirits can't tell us what it is like on the otherside.....or what it is like dying?

Hi Magenta and welcome back!!! Wondered where'd you gone? lol!
Your final questions in this post are exactly what some of us are trying to research....Annie and myself, whenever we make contact via ouija board etc. are asking these questions; what it is like passing over, what happens when you pass over; are there 'stages' or 'levels' once you pass etc. and we have had some corresponding information to date, but obviously we need much more research before we can come to any conclusions.
Take care,
Gwen

That's a great approach danny, it's hard to sometimes believe what you see, it's good that you are so positive about it !! Mandy

Well I definitely believe in ghosts as I use to play with spirit children when I was small. I have also seen my great aunt who came to visit when my oldest son was just a few weeks old. I have also seen my mother who died 23 years ago today.

There is a pretty interesting book out at the moment called Ghosts caught on film! See what you think of it. It's available from most book stores. I think it goes for about £9. Quite a steal really. Must say I was very impressed with some of the pictures and accounts in the book. Let me know what you think of it. Lewis

I absolutely believe in ghosts. I believe in them in the spiritual sense, and also in a scientific, measurable, explainable sense.
I believe in the possibility of a form of 'displaced energy', in the sense that when a television set is turned of at the socket, the energy that had been powering it does not just disapear, it is rerouted and diverted for another purpose (ie powering another electrical appliance etc). I think that the same may happen with human 'energy' or spirit.
persoanally I beleive that reincarnation is the result of old spirit finding a new body. Spirits that are free from physical body are then left to 'haunt' or make things go bump in the night.
I beleive that the knowledge that we feel we are born with, and that does not appear to be a learned knowledge, that known as 'intuition', is actually the basic knowledge that reincarnated spirits bring to us at the moment of birth/conception. far fetched I know, but until I see or hear evidence otherwise...
