Caz, its funny you should say that because I am a believer, but very sceptical all the same. I have only been on one invest and that was to Maes Artro. Nothing happened to me that night that made me believe any more, although there were some strange things reported, even my own girlfriend claimed to have been touched in the morgue, but because it didn't happen to me, it wasnt proof for me. If that makes sense.

hiya viper.....yes that makes perfect sense babe... though i have had numerous experiences i still remain sceptical....and the more i learn about natural phenomina...the more i question everything.....but i feel thats right....you should keep a logical head at all times....how else can u remain impartial and unbiased?? by the same tokan though i try not to dismiss anything...wouldnt wanna miss out its those things you're left with that u can't explain away that excite me though

It is good to be sceptical of things, we always try and find other explanations before saying we think something is paranormal, we have managed to find explanations for some weird things but none for others. it is a subject where seeing is believing i think. I do believe, i saw my first figure in the morgue at maes, it was standing right behind me looking over my shoulder, a big black figure. and numerous other things which have led me to belive 100%. But i still always look for other explanations first.

Anyone who has been on an investigation with EP will know that all possibilities are considering first before any claim of spirit activity is made. Sometimes we have had things happen and still look for a 'normal' explanation when it is totally unexplainable.

Well said annietis. You have to, you cant label everything a ghost, we like to know our evidence is real best we can. and have managed to get explanations from some of our evidence post invest. Like that face picture at maes - when we went back we tried to re-create it and its now has an explanation that is not paranormal. its the best way to be when investigating

It's simple really guys, once you've considered and eliminated the logical, then only the unexplainable/paranormal is left.
I've seen too many unexplainable occurances, both alone and in an investigation group, to not believe in spirit and ghosts. ;D

The face pic at Maes, is that the one of the bald headed man in the fish tank ?
What was it in the end ? How did it get on the film ?

We re-created it using paul - it is someone sitting where we were - i dont know why he's bald i think its something to do with the light, but we think its actually mrsceptic in the reflection. what confused us was the bald head but in another picture we took we got a reflection of martina in a tank and the light sort of gave her no head. So we are sure its not a face of a spirit now weve been back and done the tests

I do agree that all other explanations must be ruled out first, luckily the Essex Paranormal team always do this.

I think doing that is the first rule of thumb.....any decent investigator would do all the logical stuff first

Ben,
I have exactly the same belief as you however, the main reason I joined the group is to prove to myself that my belief is valid. Have you ever had any experiences (except that in the recording studio) that lead you to believe in ghosts/spirits ?
