do i believe in ghosts. depends what you call ghosts. I believe that live and breathe due to electrical impulses which is energy. We die, energy doesnt just disapear wether our soul is part of that energy who knows what is a soul, what gives us free will,. some how i dont believe its carried with us. the energy may be seen or heard or react to our actions in his world, energy + energy causes a reaction i would of thought. anyway i can go on and on and condradict myself and i`ve got to go and learn how to spell big words. :vom7: :med1:

I do believe but i do agree with you Kurt, we must always try and explore any other explanations before assuming everything is paranormal - many people do just assume when something happens that its paranormal, and this isn't always the case. Its an important part of investigating, to look at other answers first then look at paranormal ones. We look forward to seeing you on some investigations in the future.

Spirits or ghosts imo could be left over energy form people. As we are mostly made up of water and chemical reactions that produce electricity,it could be that spirits are like an fingerprint in time. The reason we see them in various places could be a break in the logical time continum,i.e time and space isn't a straight line but curved, and the spirits are pushing through a crack in time. maybe the places that report sightings have a bigger crack in time than others..but surely then we would be overrun by spirts,or is it that some spirits are cleverer than others and have sussed out how to contact the living..

when i was a small child i woke up one night to find a lady standing by my bed smiling at me. i felt no fear although i did not know this lady. the following morning i told my grandad about it.i described the lady right down to her kind eyes and the white streak through her hair.my grandad got a very old photograph out and asked if this was the lady i had seen.of course.....it was.he then told me it was his mother who had passed over when he was about 10 yrs old.it is believed she came to visit me as i was the first great grandchild! i have also seen spirit animals, mainly my nans dog from when she was a child.so i am a total believer .i do believe that many people refuse to believe until they experience this for themselves which is sad because i believe they can take comfort from the fact that this life isnt the be all and end all. i know there is something after the here and now and that makes me happy.

I do believe, I think that I once saw a ghost in a graveyard, but to be honest it happened so quickly that I am not sure. As I was walking through the graveyard on my way home from work, out of the corner of my eye I saw a young lad aged about 13/14 leaning against a tree. The lad was dressed in a costume that I can only describe as a ragamuffin. Within seconds The lad had disappeared. A few days later curiosity got the better of me and I decided to see who the grave behind the tree belonged to, and it turned out to be the grave of a 14 year old lad who had died in 1920. Maybe I had seen a ghost after all.

Hello Darren, I have read your answers to some letter printed, you have explained some things , I did not understand, as when it is happening in your own home, you can never put a time limit on it, due to getting a calm before the storm, I have had my house cleanse twice now, but it only came back with a vengeance. We was warned this thing might come back, and even if we moved it could follow us, they also asked if any of my neighbours had been playing with a ouija board, my neighbours are a young girl with baby, also the other side, are a family, which does not seem to be like that., it is not the sort of thing you go round asking your neighbours.
thanks Charlie.

Hi , just been reading everyones opinions on Ghosts, my own understanding is that ghost activity is chiefly due to certain people and events becoming recorded in the atmosphere of a place or location. This seems to be more prevalent in the case of traumatic experiences or causes of a persons death. But I also think that good experiences can be recorded in the atmosphere too. Not all ghostly aparition is conected with trauma or sadness. Ten years ago we lived in a house that was built in 1914, it was a lovely large detached house with a happy feeling to it. It needed lots of work as it had been treated badly. We had been there about a year when one late afternoon I sat reading a book , sudenly something caught my eye, as I looked up a man or about 40 ish, walked out of the wall, he was wearing a white shirt and dark trousers and I would say looked to have red/ginger hair. He took several steps towards what was now patio doors then disapeared. Later that year we stripped all the old wallpaper of the walls and just where the man had walked out of the wall was evidence of a doorway that had long since been bricked up. So this guy was obviously just following his old familiar route, completly oblivious to my presence, at the time I remember thinking that he seemed like a happy and loving presence not at all scary. lol

I have also found that some spirits seem to have a warmth about them and are not at all intimidating unlike some others that do have a 'bad' feel to them. Im not afraid of them and find them fascinating and would love to learn more about your experiences Maureen.
