hi there over the years Ive had some weird experiences, when i lived at home, my mum had two pictures of me and my brother on top of the TV, after a while i noticed in the morning that picture of me was either facing the wrong way or facing down wards or the floor in front of the TV yet the other pictures never moved.

ok well here it goes!
Last year I lived in a house in Southampton in the Polygon area. I've done a bit of research about the estate and it turned out to be an old victorian spa resort. Now all of the inns/guest houses are run down and let out to students. They really are amazing houses and in their day they must of been spectacular but now really they are run down and falling apart! Typical!
So anyway me and 5 of my friends decided to go for this massive 6 bedroom house and all seemed well when we moved in. Me and my friend stayed there for the summer on our own as everyone else went back home to work. It was quite a eerie house and had very long corridors with no windows and had all the original plaster work. I don't think I was ever comfortable in that house.
We first started noticing weird little things happening, like pens would roll off of tables or a door would shut on it's own but we just ignored it. A few weeks later when I was round another friends one night and I'd left my housemate on her own in the house, I got a petrified phone call from her. She said she had just been going to bed and was locking the back door when she'd seen a reflection in the window of a young girl with long blonde hair wearing a white dress sitting at our dinner table. She thought it was her imagination as when she turned round there was no one there but as she turned back to the window and in the reflection the apparition remained there for a good 10 minutes. After then we knew we were sharing our house with someone else.
One of our other housemates mum was a medium so we thought it would be a good idea that she came round. As soon as she showed up you could tell that she didn't want to tell us what was going on. Her face said it all! She said that there was definatly a presence of a young girl of maybe 20 or so with long blonde hair who showed herself in a white dress. This was the exact description of what my friend had seen.
The girls name was Cecelia and she had been a servant when the house was a part of the spa resort but had commited suicide somewhere in the house. I think for her daughters sake the medium didn't give us all of the details though. She also explained that Cecelia was friendly and was drawn to us as we were all girls of her age but she also wanted to know why there were so many people in her house. The most active parts in the house was the downstairs corridor, the downstairs toilet and the back downstairs room (which used to be a part of the downstairs toilet) I thought great I live downstairs too! So after that we knew more about the haunting but to be honest it didn't make it any better.
I'd always feel like I was getting followed around the house especially in the corridor even during the day. It was the worst doing the hoovering down there as it felt like someone was breathing down your neck. Aparantly she liked to do this just to see what we were doing but also because she wanted to hang around with us.We would hear running down the stairs followed by knocking on our doors. My boyfriend was a big sceptic and didn't believe me at all until one day he was in the bathroom when she hissed in his ear. We also heard muttering, I've been hissed at. I've seen a hand going through the wall. Some of my things have gone missing. There's been a lot of mists and orbs and despite 'cecelia' being friendly I never felt welcome. I think the scariest thing that happened was one morning I'd gotten up for uni quite early and knew no one else was up and when I opened my door I was welcomed by blasting wind that was icy cold that lasted around a minute. That really scared me. There was also funny smells in certain places that wern't explainable. So as our tenancy came to an end we all decided that we should live somewhere else. Really only me and one of my housemates experienced a lot of things - and we both lived downstairs. So now my story comes to an end. Sorry it's so long but I think it's good to have so much detail and it's really interesting too. I've moved house now but it's literally opposite my old house so I'll be reminded of Cecelia everyday. thers also two pictures been taken since of my brother on two separate occasions and both taken in the front room both of them have got mist in the picture but there was no smoke in the room at the time.

hi Steve just read your bit on is you house haunted Ive also had running foot steps up the stairs which i thought i was being burgled but when Ive checked thers no one there.

Did the medium ever say why the girl killed herself?

I've only got one awful photo of me with what appears to be an orb floating in front of my face! Erm but I think the medium was keeping some information from us as her daughter lived with us too and didn't want to scare her! I would of loved to know more about what happened to Cecelia though
