Hi Sophie, That's an interesting account, It's good to get the background or history to a 'Haunting'. I Don't think I would like to live in that house !

That's good Lee, mists on a photo always interest me. I got a pic of a strange mist round the Christmas tree at midnight on New Years eve a couple of years ago, 10 seconds later I took anoter pic and it had gone ! (must dig out the pic and post it on the site - or shall I wait till Christmas ??) Steve

Hi Kev, I'm afraid I don't have much contact with her daughter anymore so therefore I never get to see her mum. It's a shame but that house was so weird we all kind of stopped being friends. Not sure if it was just a coincidence but the atmosphere in that house really didn't help us either!

Hi steve, I know I'd never live in that house again, even if someone paid me! It seems unreal telling people about my experiences. Most people wouldn't believe me but then when they came round to stay something always happened! In the morning they'd be like I'm never staying in your house again!

Hi Sophie, As you live near to the house now, do you know who lives there and have they noticed anything ?

Hey kev, it's funny you should ask me that! A group of my friends decided to rent the house after me in their 3rd year of uni. I tryed to warn them about the ghostly antics but they didn't really listen. It'll be interesting to see if they experience anything and they're all boys so I'm not sure if they will!?

Hi
I am new but wanted to tell you about an experience I have had recently whilst on holiday.
Last year we came into some money and booked a summer holiday in a luxury lodge. We have looked forward to it for MONTHS and recently it came time for our break.
When we arrived at the site it was mid development. The lodge was beautiful and extremely well equipped. We were thrilled.
As the week progressed, we could not settle. We were unhappy, irritable and uncomfortable. Although the site manager was charming and helpful, we felt unbelieveably uncomfortable.
By day 4 I was utterly depressed and couldn't bear any more. I asked to go home and near threatened my husband with divorce because I was so unhappy. By day 5 we repacked and next morning we returned home, despite the cost of the holiday and the fact that it made no sense - the lodge was just lovely and I couldn't understand how come I hated it.
Since our return I decided to investigate the history of the site - it looked to have been some sort of family park or museum. I have since found out it has a reputation as a haunted site prior to its present usage as a camp site.
I know this is not the most concrete of ghost experiences but we feel so much better knowing there may have been a reason we were so unhappy.

Hi Lilacheron, A very interesting account. I always think that what you sense about a place is just as important as what you see or hear. The place you stayed obviously had a very oppressive atmosphere and you did right to leave. There is no point staying somewhere you feel uncomfortable.
Welcome to Essex Paranormal I hope you enjoy the site, and look forward to reading all your posts. There is a wealth of information on the forum on all sorts of subjects, please feel free to comment and do not hesitate to contact one of the Team if you have any questions. (We're a very friendly bunch here !) Hope we'll see you on one of our upcoming investigations very soon.

Thanks Steve,
I am enjoying reading your forums and reports immensely. This is especially so since your group has, in the past, investigated the site I stayed on. Obviously this was before its present use as a holiday park. It is interesting to me that despite a change of use the atmosphere of the site remains intense.

Yes it would lol - you guessed I was sort of reluctant to say because the site manager is obviously putting so much effort in that I know it would be wrong to moan all over the internet and I have no wish to undermine his livelihood or be ungracious about the hospitality we received. I thought you would be interested though.
