Hi Caz, Have you tried taking random photographs of your home, to see if you pick anything up.
If I were you I would also keep a diary of any activity that you experience, so that you can see if a pattern emerges.

My house in Dagenham was built in the late 30s and we have all seen things from time to time! in particular a black cat which regularly runs up the stairs!
We have never felt anything discomforting in this house though and i have actually had a dark man size figure walk across my bedroom open the door and walk out right in front of my eyes!
The reason i have decided to write this now is because my Daughter and I decided to have a play with our new Camcorder, it having a night vision mode on it! and for fifteen minutes we sat and watched orbs flying around the room! it was amazing! they were changing direction in mid air and were all travelling in different directions too!
the temperature in the room droppped as well.
weird!

Sometimes I wonder if an 'small' area (4 entryways almost side-by-side to each other [think of a plus sign, but move the left segment off the center and attach it to the tip of the top line]) with an unusual amount of doors may act as a trigger for spiritual entities to enter by. The idea comes from all the symbolism I've learned about doorways and gates during English Literature classes It gives my home (only 30 or so years old) an odd sense of being haunted by passing spirits and maybe even a divine force(!). I've lived at this home for as long as I can remember, half my life 'downstairs'. After a house renovation and creation of that 4 entryway oddity, I've had more feelings of someone coming into my room or the sense of being watched but yet no-one is there. There has been a more than a few times where I could've sworn I saw a shadow by the Chinese (Taoist?) shrine my mother has put by the doorway that separates the front half of the home to the back. It is a plaque with Chinese writing (my kanji reading ability sucks, so I don't know what it all says), bowl of fruit (they're offerings) and incense holder. Next to that door, I have my own doorway decorations: a papyrus painting of King Tut, an ankh and a freebee Buddhist paper scroll of blessing (the type that one does put on a doorway) that was included in the temple literature info sheet I picked up (I got that when I was in Japan two years ago). In addition to the unusual doorway configuration, I think this ecelectic mix of decorations has attracted something. I have no clue exactly what the entity (or group of) is, and they are non-hostile. The odd small item does disappear on me, but I never attribute it to being paranormal because I can never remember where I've last put down some things. Over the holidays, I had a repeat of having that feeling and seeing that shadow again. Having joined this group recently, maybe someone here might have some ideas in who/what that entity is. I doubt it's my Dad's spirit. For the longest time, I've had the feeling he's entered the Light and is enjoying a happier after life now (he had died of liver disease and other ailments).

Thought I'd share this one with you all.......
At home on my own yesterday afternoon merrily going about my business (as you do) when I remembered that one of the lad's at work had been having a clearout and knowing that I was a big George Michael fan he had brought in an old tape of Wham (will you stop laughing!!!). So I thought I'd play it and have a little trip down memory lane, but no could do as I only have cd/dvd players in the house now, no tape deck....
I wnet upstairs and put a cd of George in my player, when I heard a strange sound coming from downstairs. I went down to investigate and the radio had come on. it was 2.43pm and guess what it was playing..... Carless Whisper.....

Hi everyone!
Yes - my house is haunted! The two main ghosts are the old couple who lived here before us. They are a very friendly couple and only visit on occasion but when they do - well they like the odd trick or two. The worst is when you are sitting in the bath or having a shower and you hear someone call you by name. Of course you shout back and everyone looks at you later as if you've gone mad and says "no-one shouted you!" Mmmm. Or you can be washing up and you feel a tap on the shoulder, turn around and you're on your own! Another little trick of theirs is to hide things. Keys, clothes, letters etc will mysteriously go missing to turn up later in a stupid place like the fridge! We quite like these ghosts. Occasionally we get to see a shadow of one them drift through a room and our dog 'Blade' (a large German Shepherd) goes ballistic! What we don't like though is the ghost of a cat that Ken lost shortly after he moved here! It has the habit of teasing the dog like crazy and it actually scratched the back of my hand once! I was only reaching for some chocolate from off my bedside table! Now that's a horrid ghost, especially as it stalks our lounge and my bedroom!

Well, when I was in bed sometimes in my last house (2) (actually, even in the one before that (3))- as opposed to where my family live now, I used to get the feeling that something was climbing onto my bed, and I could feel my bed press down, as if a cat was lying down on it, since it was moving up and down, and sometimes vibrating! I think this was our cat, Monet, who was run over when we lived at house 3. Also, my cat used to meow at things none of us could see, sometimes running away from it!
Also, I've felt a chill in some places, and I used my pendulum to look for things, and it was spinning around fairly fast. Also, long ago, a friend of mine told me there's a spirit wanting to contact me, or words to that effect. I also have the odd thing falling down around me, even though it's stayed in the one position for days on end! I was thinking that it was my psychic energy moving it, but I'm honestly not sure.
Actually, another thing that happened is that my mum was in my room (house 2), messing with my EMF meter and she got a feeling (I can't recall), which was quite unpleasant, and as well as that my EMF meter spiked up to 4 MGs (it was on high sensitivity), so there's obviously something going on in that place... There was also the spirit of a little girl there, called Rosin who died a long time ago, before the houses were built, the houses being built in the 1970s.

Sounds interesting Stormkeeper, I do believe that animals definitely pick up on the paranormal.

Sadly, not too long ago, my cat Magenta had to be put down due to old age Unfortunately, the other cat, Catapuss, doesn't seem to be able to pick up things that Magenta could...

My flat is haunted like i said before, but now there is a regular figure that goes pass my bed room at night, even when the light are on , I am not sure which room they go into , so it could be my nan who died in 1988 or her lodger jim who died 1989.
