Hi Pollyanna, yes we do all have psychic ability, some will live their whole lives and never recognise the fact, whilst others will at some point become aware of this. Once we are aware we have the choice to develop this aspect of our nature or ignore it and just let it operate from time to time throughout our lives. What we fail to recognise is the psychic ability is part of our protection and growth, the deliberate use of the psychic senses awakens our sixth sense, which is our power of greater perception, of our selves, our world and all that life is involved in. To develop it even further means that we attune our abilities to percieve not only the physical world but also the unseen world. This is when psychic ability becomes mediumship.

Hi Maureen,
I am going to check out my local spiritulist church, and see if i can get myself in there at least once a week!! I have read up on clairaudience and things are starting to make alot more sense! Like (sounds silly) when I see morris dancers especially I always cry, I cant help it, but it makes me feel so overwhelmed for some reason! I was in town the other day and a man was singing in the middle of the town square and i cried then! Instead of feeling odd about this, I should just let my feelings go and do whatever they need too!

Yes every person born has psychic ability, but most never use or understand it. The word psychic is derived from the Greek word meaning Soul, as we all have a soul we also all have psychic ability to some degree. I believe that animals have a soul too and look how psychic animals can be. Now that you have become aware that you hear your name or other sounds calling to you when there is no one else around, then it is obvious that your awareness and sense of hearing is becoming attuned to sounds outside of the physical abilty of normal hearing. Sometimes I think that the spirit world are saying pay attention, we are around you more than you know.

Now it’s my turn.

I also love to be a medium. I start attending for Spiritual church.
In my first Open Circle, I was a getting only image of my death dog.
Second times, I was a getting very strong and aloud -word: Drabina (ladder) - which was a message for me and I very well understand this, also I was a see a same structures from perspective views. I feel that town from fare future or from different world.
time after that I was a pick image with blood on brick wall on street of Aries RD. and same very massacred body.- one lady recognize this like her friend was in past car accident in this area and her body was a very massacring.
Next time I was a practicing by my self in home and I was a getting cemetery and grave, behind grave I was a see legs of man, which com to front of grave, then I was a see date: 1912 or 1921. Also I was a see something like church and from behind two women’s: first one was have gold blond, shining hairs and follow her sit down other one with black hairs in brown/purple top.
Other one time when I was experiencing in home I am was a see naked, young women body and I was a getting in polish word: razor blade.
And last time on Open Circle I was a getting image, like I was a fly on right side of same street. Was a dark, maybe evening and then I was a see head of colour man on the edge of pavement, also in same time, I was a feel strong pain in my head. - One medium which been in this moment like guest recognize this image.
One time I was go to awareness Class, but maybe, that was a last one, because is to small attendance, but I so like to continue my developing.

On Awareness Class. Medium also show to class, the way to meditation and to keep a control for you minds. I very easy imagine the light and I was a com close and close, then, I was a recognize that is a candle ........everything I was imagine, easy what was a suggest medium.
..But problem com with flavour. I strong concentrated by smell, but com too hard for me and I was a feel smel very well and very short time. I think that is my problem.
Other one my problem, I was a getting just last week:
When I start practising in home, and after relaxing, I just easy, to easy to fall asleep.
Also I not understand why I am getting mostly terrible images.

Hi Maria, it sounds like your sensitivity has been awakened, and sometimes it comes in random flashes of faces or events that are difficult to place. If some of the things you are getting can be recognised, then obviously you are making a psychic or mediumistic link and getting little pieces of information. If it bothers you that the things you see seem to always be of a traumatic nature, then you need to send a thought to the spirit world to protect you with light and allow you to recieve images that are a little less disturbing. Each one of us are completley individual and unique, and so our mediumship will be the same, I would strongly advise you to get training and development to strengthen and control your mediumistic ability. You have quite a few options open to you as in your area there are a lot of good Spiritualist churches and development groups. I dont think you will come to any harm by sitting in meditation, but when you do, make a note afterwards of all the images you see, it called keeping a journal of the symbolic impressions that are being brought into your consciousness, either from the spirit world or from your own sub-conscious mind. We miss a lot of symbolic messages from our meditations or dreams if we dont write then down, for instance seeing your dog that had died tells me that you are being guided and protected by a friend in the spirit world, because in life we say that a dog is a man's best friend, they bring us comfort and companionship. If you were to sit regularly in a development group you would find that your mediumship would become controled and more focused, and you would start to gain confidence from the information you recieve. Also I recomend that you read as many information books as you can, (presuming you read English well) knowledge is valuable, it takes away fear and helps you recognise what is hapening to your development.

I in the past from time to time was a have contact witch spirits.
I also always was a very serious about dreams, which I understand. Lot of times my dreams com to true. I also have serial dreams. For example I was a dream long period of time dream which was a continuation, for first one. In this cycle I was a dream my future 10 years for the front and all was a happen. Was a good idea to write this cycle in letters for my mum. She now was a back for me this letters!
Also I lot of times was a dream a future of world (floods in Gorzow Wlkp.)Etc, - that not happens yet. And I am getting images from other planet or very fare future in ours world.
In Poland I was a newer read any books in this field, because that was (I dont know now) very strong catholic country in socialism and that type of information’s was not a possible getting from somewhere.
I just start getting ability again after death my loved dog. I am very well communicated with animals.
And after her death I was a start researching her "future", because I was a very miss for her.
And by this way I found firstly Ghost-uk site and from that Spiritual Church and then, I was com here.

I newer practising relaxing and by that way to get same of images- I just start that and I was a think, that just only my fantasy, but when lady in Open Circle recognize (I exactly say street and place- I was a lucky, because I know the street), this accident. I dont believed for my own self!

My dog wake op everything in me, firstly, I was a think - I am going mad, because stress after her death was a huge.
Now I was a cool down, but everything still is strange and new. And I always have a loot of questions.
I am trying to read same English books, like you recommended me. I know, be hard, because language barrier, especially probably be lot of specific words in this field.

You say that is not my dog, but probably that is a friend.
I know you very busy, but please take little bit of time and read what I was a say day after day about death my dog on Ghost -uk.

Hi,
Is it common, for people who have Psychic ability to go in a trance like state to recieve messages from the spirit world, the reason , i ask this is I have been able to do this since a young age of 7 years old.
I had tried to get into a spiritulist circle, but the time s do not fit in with my young sons school schedule and my husbands work time, is there anything safe i could do at home, till my son is older enough to stay on his as only as he is 4 yrs old.

Hi Ghostship, all forms of mediumship requires an altered state of consciousness, that means we shift gears from normal consciousness. When you say that you have been able to enter a trance state since childhood, how deep do you go? are you still aware of your suroundings? I think that trance is a very natural and beautiful energy, I have sat for trance development for 6 years. We are all moving in and out of the trance state right through our waking day, but if you are aware of becoming entranced and recieving messages from spirit then that is great, and should be developed. You can sit at home with one or two other people with you and that would be fine. Even if you sit alone the spirit world would still be able to operate with you, ask for total protection, they are intelegent minds and wont take you so deep that you are unconscious and sit talking away to the wall, what would be the point, if they have something to say through your mediumship they will wait until they have someone who will listen to their message. Sit and allow yourself to become passive and if you feel that words are fomulating in the mind put on a tape recorder and then you can listen to what is said, you will know by the content and the expression how much of it is spirit and how much comes from your own mind. When the time is right and you can sit in a circle you will find that your own efforts at development will prove invaluable. Never fear the trance states after all we all go through the many levels of altered consciousness every night when we go to sleep.

I was recently thinking about visiting a psychic for a reading! There is a well known lady who doesnt live far from me! i spoke to her the other day, but she charges £25 which i thought was a bit to much! Call me tight but I always think that these abilities are a gift and you are rewarded through different means!! I believe if you have the gift you should either do it for free as helping others is a reward in itself or ask for a small donation depending on what your client feels they want to give!! What is your opinion on charging?

The gift of mediumship and healing is just the same as all other gifts, take an artist, or musician for instance, or even a person who has a gift of singing, and there are many more. No one would expect that person to work for free, we all have to provide for our own needs, it is personal responsibility. If a medium uses his/her gift on a full time professional basis, they are working just like anyone else who choses a career. And up to date, no spirit nor physical body has filled my fridge with food, nor paid my mortgage, nor filled my car with fuel. A professional medium has proberbly spent a good few years developing their gift, and may also have spent quite a lot of money seeking training and tuition, and a medium like every other able bodied person has to earn a living. There are many professions that deal with delicate matters, that one may describe as a gift, but I dont know any of them that work for free. Many mediums that I know, ( myself included) do lots of work to raise money for charity and do work for free. For instance the great majority of mediums that serve spiritualist churches on a saturday and sunday evening, all through the year, when everyone else is going out or watching telly, will only be paid their petrol money, even though they may have traveled long distances, and to do that service may have taken six or seven hours out of their free time, that work is done to help the public, people who have lost a loved one and needs a little reasurance, or for those seeking a better understanding of life and death. All this work is done for free, the only way a medium or psychic earns any money is by private sittings or organised workshops and seminars, and like everyone else who is self employed we pay taxes.
Believe me, it is hard work, and emotionally draining work, but it is our life's work like any other vocation.

Hi,

I have been a Tarot reader for many years, and a crystal dowser, but it is only recently I have begun to experiance medium tendancys.......I did a reading for a girl I knew from another site and imediatly after I got a lot of information about her just pop into my head, it's the only way I candescribe it!!!........and it was about her nan who had died in a car crash next to her. Since then I have been getting information "pop" into my head about other people, and most of the time I have been spookily right.

I have always been able to tell if a place is haunted and have been mostly right. But I was wondering why, after all these years of being spiritually active doing rituals etc. I have suddenly become able to pick up on these things?....any ideas?

p.s. Also, in one of the other posts a lot of people mentioned that they have been told by mediums that they had the ability......is that true?...can you tell who has them and who hasn't because I heard from many souces (I think also a medium said it on most haunted) that everyone could be a medium, if that is true then wouldn't those mediums say it to everyone? Or can you tell those who are stronger than others?....is there anyone on here that you can pick up on yourself?

p.s. No offence is ment by this post........as I've said before, I'm a bit of a logical person and I do ask a lot of questions!!!.......lol.....so tell me to shut up if I get annoying!!!......lol.....and if I have offended then I am very sorry, it was not ment.

Hi Magenta, yes every body does have a POTENTIAL for mediuship, and I would like to hope that one day we will all be our own mediums. But the potential energy to do this is very varied. Most people choose to ignore the ability. Others are more attuned to it and go forward in the developement. I think that the urge for material afluence can be the very thing that makes people ignore their potential. And as with all things some people have a greater ability than others. I would stick to the belieif that it is at a soul level that our mediumship becomes most active. When I see people that seem to be strongly linked with ancient traditions, these are the people that seem to be more open or attuned to their mediumistic ability. So though I may see the ability in many in reality it is very probable that it would be the minority that would do anything about it.
