Happychick, Having read a bit more on the Manby ghosts its says that the old armoury is haunted and that the accomodation blocks have now been taken over by East Lindsey District Council and now have their offices in Tedder Hall which I am assuming used to be an accomodation block. Apparently many people have reported seeing the ghost of an airman in the washroom and in some of the other rooms. As to the control towers maybe its because it was the hub of the airfield and all crews and pilots congregated there before and after flights - this is just an assumption of course. West Malling looks interesting as well. They filmed some of 'We'll Meet Again' at West Malling and while waiting for a scene to be shot with about 30 actors, crew, etc standing around they asked 2 airmen and some WAAF to move out of shot and when approached they just disappeared. In fact reading about a lot of them they all seem to have lots of paranormal activity. Do let me know how you get on looking them up and what you decide. Barbra

MrRee, Apparently RAF Strubby is haunted by a 'headless' airman in WWII flying kit who haunts the hanger and the hard-standing at the Maltby end of the airfield. He is supposed to be the pilot of a Lancaster bomber which crashed close to the hanger and burnt out. All the crew died. One RAF policeman refused to go anywhere near the haunted hanger. Sounds a good place to go. Did you go into the hanger while you were there?

We were there as part of a living history weekend and it was all hustle and bustle! but like i said there were places there that we didnt feel at all comfortable in!

Mark, Sounds as though this would be a good place to visit. Especially the hanger. Are these public places or are they owned by the MOD or anyone else?

I would love an investigation at Boy's Hall in Ashford, Kent. It is supposedly one of the most haunted houses in England.

Haunted RAF bases for me too.......
I have 90 + in my database on them so far, and chasing down RAF Croft at the moment.
I have "watched" at Manston, Hawkinge, Kingsdown (WW1), North Weald, and spent an interesting ATC glider flying course with personal ghost hunt at RAF Debden. I don't think there is anything as atmospherically charged as an old RAF base. You can feel that the aircrew and personnel are still there.
If you do an invest at a base and I can help research (if its in the south) or investigate (midlands to Scotland) let me know.

I'd love to investigate Barnesly Gardens, a castle and grounds built by Godfry Barnesly in the 1800's, in Adairsville, Georgia. (USA) I visited it a couple of times when I was 18-19 years old. (Back in 1992-1993) I sensed a presense when I was there, which I believe was Julia Barnesly, Godfry's wife, who died before the castle was finished, and was said to have come back to visit her husband on many occasions after her death. The castle is just a shell. No roof....just the skeletin of what was there. I was looking out what was once a window, and had this strange, electric feeling come over me, and it was like I was seeing the outside the way it was in the 1840's. Like I was seeing through HER eyes.
Anyway, I'd love to go back one day.

I live in a city that isn't popular when it comes to ghost sightings. I have a few friends who have had constant or occasional experiences, and some areas are claimed to be haunted. However, I doubt that ghost tours are held in those areas. Or are they? I really don't know.

MysteryAngel,
It doesn't matter if ghost tours are held there or not if there is a supposed haunted location with suspected paranormal activity. And the owners will let us go in to do investigation, then anything is possible.
Where are you thinking of ?
