Have you ever contacted your spirit guide through meditation.
Or do you use meditation as a tool for relaxation.

I find meditation SO extremely relaxing, it's fantastic - I do not normally relax whatsoever so it's a dramatic change for me when I do.
I thought that once I met my spirit guide, but I'm not sure as it was the generic American Indian - if I get this again, I'll be more confident that it wasn't just my mind playing tricks.
It is usually my dad who comes through to say hello(!), although once I did get some information for a friend which she was able to take as absolute validation, so that was nice.
What about yourself?

Hi, I used to do this a lot but stopped for a while as one night while doing it alone in the house i heard a voice, i couldnt make out what it said exactly as it was muffled but i definately did hear it, tbh it scared me a bit.
Just recently I have started again, this time i had a name pop in to my head, the name was Fanancy, and i had an image of an African man.
The strange thing was the way it was to be pronounced which is Fanan-cy this seemed to be quite important as the name popped in to my head.
I dont know anyone with this name so cant see where I could have picked it up from, I did try googleing the meaning of the name but couldnt find anything.

Wow, how interesting. I think if I heard a voice, I'd be cacking it too!! ;D
That's quite a particular name you got too. Let me know how you get on with it in future, won't you?

I try to meditate as much as I can but I have so much c**p going on at the moment I feel blocked.
So I went and had the Hopi Ear Candle Therapy done today at work and a really strange thing happened, the girl who did it is a girl I work with and we've been talking about spiritual stuff and clairvoyance lately etc. and when she started the treatment (which is very relaxing in itself) we both went into a medative state and because her hands were resting on my head holding the candle in place, it was as tho we kind of meshed into one, after a while I couldn't feel her resting on my head.
When we finished she said something that she had picked up on (which she is just learning to do) and she was spot on!!!
It was an amazing experiance, if anyone get's the chance to have it done do it.....it's really good for blocked sinuses and ears!!!!

Hi Kerry
I can identify with your uneasiness when meditating that time. I usually set aside a particular time every week to meditate, most of the time Chris is downstairs and is great at fielding any distractions, but a couple of times I have felt that something wasn't quite right so I just said that I wasn't ready to accept that particular message.
I do love my meditative place and my emotions are so heightened that sometimes I don't want to close down! lol
I must just say that I can verify Gwen's post. The friend she was refering to was me and I can say, hand on heart, that there was absolutely no way she would have known about the validation that she gave me after her meditation. Not even Chris would have known. It was so lovely she had me in tears (little beggar) because I knew it would only have come from one source.

Hi All , I find this subject fascinating and no matter how much i read up on it and try to practice it i cant seem to relax and clear my mind in the right ways !! Im not sure if there is an art to it or if i just have`nt found the right area and time to do it....I do find that when i have been laying in bed and getting to that stage where you are neither awake or asleep i seem to pick up on things but only occasionally are they apparent at that time.....it could be a couple of weeks and something will happen then i will know what either i am or someone else is supposed to be doing if that makes sense but normally laugh it off and forget about it...... Anyway i would love to know how you all manage to let yourselves accept what is happening and how you let yourselves drift away ?? Sean ( waffling i know lol )

Hi hun !
To answer your question you literally have to learn how to do it. I wish you had mentioned this on Saturday as I had a cd with me that would have helped and either Gwen or I could have taken you through it.
It really is the most amazing feeling the first time you actually achieve total state of meditation and can be quite emotional.
If, by our next meeting you have not managed to enjoy the experience we'll find a quiet corner and go through it with you.
As far as acceptance, this again is practice but it is a whole lot easier if you can learn to meditate and open up.

Hi Sean,
When I first started I used to block everything out i.e noises, smells, sounds. So its no wonder that I used to sense nothing.
Then I read a post somewhere that talked us through the best ways of meditaing i then tried this and found that it worked a lot better, and by meditating this way I also wasnt blocking out my other sense.

Kerry I was the same! I used to close my windows switch tv off and even thought I needed to be in the dark lol.
Now I have a lovely cd playing in the background (Maureen put me on to this one) and just love it when I'm in my 'place' and sometimes I can hear the kids playing outside and next door working on their cars and it makes no difference.

Oh yes Kerry, nearly every time. First few times I thought it was just because I had closed my eyes but now I know it is just a stage before meditation. I think it is literally that you are emptying all thoughts from your mind. Maybe that's what it is like when you have no worries! lol
Lmao o.k. Sean I'll make sure there's a light on. Maybe we can ger Coral to hold your hand too. x
