Protection

I know loads of ways to protect yourself, but the one I found most effective was the one I told Laura about when she first began to be interested in this subject.

It was something that my mum taught me when I was little and I have found it one of the best ways. But ofcourse, it's all to do with the mind, more than anything else, if you don't belive then there is no point!!

It goes like this:
Close you eyes and imagin you are in a bubble of blue light, the bubble is all around you (imagine the bubble starting at your head and moving down to cover your body, like that bit in X-Men at the end where Rouge is hooked up to that mutant creating machine!!....lol) tell yourself that nothing bad can penertrate this bubble, only good energy can get in and the bubble is filled with positive energy. Keep telling yourself this until you can imagin the bubble glowing.

Its a simple thing and you can do it anywhere, anytime.

Yes we use a very similar method, the white ball of light - same thing really, we also ask for the protection of our spirit guides after asking for the protection of the white light.

Cool, that makes it a bit stonger doesn't it, which, lets face it, you need when going on investigations......lol.....

There are others that I know, but they lean more towards the Pagan way of working, so I don't think they would be appropriate here.

But I think they all have the same elements, i.e. all make you imagin a light coloured light around you etc.

I'd love to hear more too.

In circle we do a very similar thing!

we use our minds eye to visualise a brilliant cloak of blue/white light! and to visualise that cloak all around us! whilst asking for divine protection!

there must be hundreds of different ways though!

Like Lauren has said previously....i think most protection is all based around a similar thing, .....enclosing yourself in a bubble or surrounding yourself in the bright light whilst asking for protection.....but one question i have is.....why a bright light?.....does the bright light signify god?

I would have to say no to that question, it signifys more the positive energy than 'God' as many people who use those protection charms don't believe in 'God'

The bright/white light is the traditional cloak for positive energy, we see the age old theory of black against white, good against evil......so there for, if it is a bright light then that is the positive energy you are creating to protect you. In my personal opinion I don't think it has anything to do with god, but some, of that religion, may feel that it is god protecting them....and there is nothing wrong with that.

some times for some people its a bit hard to imagine light as protection so sit quietly and imagine puting on a suit of armour pice by pice then finaly the helmet
also you could do the white light from the heart centre exploding out and around you for a clensing also you could do this in all your rooms by doing it it crerates positive afermations that build up over time

Thats an interesting idea about the armour thing.......that would be a really good way of protecting yourself wouldn't it, because going through the motions of putting on the armour (in your head) would certainly build your mind up against anything wouldn't it.

its a good start as i could not get it in to my head about light protection, as some one told me about the armour suit i have now passed their knowledge on to who ever reads it.
another one ina meditation you can put your self into a pyramid see your self init it should be clear and you just see the lines that create it and watch it rise.
