What do you think of motion detecors in investigations? do they work?

We were told something interesting at wymering, one of the spirits told a medium there they dont see why we use them as they just step over them..............!! lol
So are all the spirits getting clued up on our equipment and how to avoid it?
We had a lock off set in room 5 at wymering with an evp running inside and motion detectors on the inside of the room covering the door.
2 members saw a man enter that room and thought it was paul still setting it up, it wasn't and everyone was accounted for. Paul went to check the room as no decetors had gone off. They went off when he entered.
On the evp you hear the first person (spirit) enter the room and shuffling noises then a few minutes later paul enters and they go off.
what are everyones thoughts on this?

As the vibration of the man was seen out side the room and it was seen to enter does not mean it went into the room as the energy of it is contained outside the door, for some reason the fear of people seem to get recorded into the fabric of buildings so who knows he might not have been so scared once he entered .

oh we're sure he went in as noises inside and scuffling in the room is on the evp after you hear him open the door

I think that if spirits can see us, and can watch what we are doing, then it makes sense that they could be getting wise to the equipment being used.

I think so. in places regulary investigated the spirtis do catch on to what our equipment does, they are still people and still have intelligence, so maybe they have begun to avoid certain equipment at certain locations

Although I have brought 2 motion detectors im still not sure they would work as if a spirit or ghost isn’t a solid form then surely if it did pass through the beam it wouldn’t break it as the beam would pass through it. But if it’s a question of the entity steeping over the beam then just get two small tripods or stools to stand them on so they are about waist height so that nobody could avoid them and it would also mean that an animal would be less likely to trigger them

if a spirit has no physical body how can it set off a motion detector?

hope this isn't a really stupid question but i have wondered about this for a while.

Good point. Maybe it is along the same lines as how do some people see apparitions when, as you say, they are spirits?

That's why I love the paranormal and the spirits we have met are sometimes a lot more intelligent than the living I come into contact with....lol

I have seen on some sites that people have taken a picture when one goes off and got an orb but i dont know exactly how they do pick up spirit, something i need to look into. What i dont understand at wymering is 2 people saw a spirit open the door, surely the door would have set it off?

At Wymering it was myself and rainbowlady who saw this spirit....we saw him extend his arm to push open the door to room 5, we saw the door open (making a click noise as the door opened)....we then saw him enter the room and heard another click noise which was the door closing. This was caught on the evp which paul had set up althou the detectors didnt go off......why i have no idea.....the mysteries of the paranormal eh?.....

the spirit did look solid......myself and maureen did think it was paul....until we realised that he was actually sat in the garden with mark....i cant wait to get back there

Im hoping to maybe make contact with him , especially as we know who it was....fingers crossed eh?.....lol
