Discuss trigger objects here. What do you use as trigger objects on your investigations? Do you think they work?
Someone did suggest to me a good idea for a trigger object. To draw around a compass on a bit of paper and mark where the needle points, that way if the paper moves at all, and not the compass, you will know as the direction needle would have moved also if the compass is moved you will see that to. It makes sense as it will tell you if the object is moved or if the actual sheet if paper has been moved at all to. Also using objects relevant to the location and spirits that are there can encourage them to be touched/moved.

The compass sounds like a brilliant idea.
I think that trigger objects work, how about objects related to a location, i.e if we were investigating a millitary location, then something could be used to cause a reaction like a toy soldier for example.

I cant wait to see the results.

I have tried many different trigger objects but for the last two weeks i have drawn around three 2p's on a A4 sheet of paper a fair distance away from one another, and a different one will move each time, or sometimes two will move, ive been writing down which order to see if there was any pattern but it appears to be whatever they feel like. Having said that, last night they never moved at all....instead one of my ornaments was turned so it was facing opposite direction! So they sure can be predictable these spirits! Jule

Also at wymering whilst in the morning room we tried talking about situations which might provoke an energy....i dont want to say what we discussed as this might ruin those people who have not yet been to wymering.....but as we discussed this particular topic the room went very cold and lights were seen....althou general chit chat previously had not stirred anything. The general jist is if you are trying to contact a child for example to place something a child would play with.....like paul said at wymering buttons were used due to its naval links. i have yet to see a trigger object which has been moved but i am sure i will at some point.....

I can't stop listening to the evp - it's great.
After the investigation Chris and I were talking and I felt that the air raid shelter felt most uncomfortable to me although I loved the village hall !!!
Chris is still talking about the pen, I think one more investigation with good results and we'll have a real convert lol

The air raid shelter was one of my favourite places.
I do wish though that I had been in the room with the pen, maybe next time?

HIya yes we will be doing that room again in oct when we go. Objects have been known to fly off that bannister before. If we have loads going we will have more than 2 groups and you will be leading the third one and each group will get to do all of the rooms. I cant wait to go back !

I also believe that using music, speeches from the era that the spirit lived is a great way of opening communication.
