Sorry Dave but I couldnt find the survey.
Have any members got any ideas for trigger objects that can be used on investigations, perhaps something that would get the spirits attention.

If it's a particular spirit, then perhaps something personal of theirs. If that's not available, I know that Quartz is considered an excellent energy focusing stone, so I'd suggest that.

I went to a another group meeting on Sunday, and they picked up on an idea that a group called parasoc have come up with, which I think sounds quite good, and thought that it would need to be discussed on here.
Anyhow the idea is to make a completely see throught perspex box with a lid, the lid has triggers on it which go off when the lid is open. In the box you can place a trigger object, and have a locked off camera recording the box, parasoc even go to the effort of having a camera filming the camera filming the box.
Then hopefully if the trigger object moves it is in a controlled environment and filmed in such a way that there is no doubt the object moved without interference from someone.
My personal opinion is (if we can rig something like this up) it would be worth considering. But will the box, put spirit off moving the object ? People will just claim that any film has been edited anyhow, whether this box idea is used or not.
What do other people think ?

The group who we will be doing the joint investigation with on Saturday, don't think the box will put the spirits off, neither does the group that gave them that idea. I honestly don't know if it will or not it is just a concern I have with the expeirment, but unless people try it we will never know.

I have some old coins (pennies etc.,) but also have a silver threepenny piece. When using them as trigger objects I always put the silver 3d piece in the centre of the other coins. If the spirits have any sense of the old coinage they would want that coin above the others and maybe move the outer coins to reach the one in the centre.

I agree that old coins and toys are excellent ideas, the box could work but i do wonder if the effort involved would drain or even frustrate the spirit trying to communicate..i think trigger objects pcaed in the centre of a room where a camera can focus on the object and surrounding area and one on any entrance to the room would sufficently prove that nobody had entered and tampered with the trigger object. i would think as far as the toys go old wooden pull along types would be great as they can be significantly moved with only moderate effort, and also that old dinky/corgi cars for the same reason? or even a simple childs ball or helium balloon (anchored with a moderate but not heavy weight of course) could be useful and inexpensive...and for a laugh we can always let the guys have the helium after to hear various renditions of the smurf song! lol!

The ballon is a good idea, and not something we have done before, would be worth giving it a try.

As anyone tried flour before ? Bizarre as it sounds I saw a programme once can't remember what exactly but flour was sprinkled on a table for example in a locked off area and a handprint was caught.

Flours is also handy to see if anyone has tampered with the object, eg flour on the floor will show if anyone has approached the object. I do see the point in using it yes, its just very messy and i doubt many locations would be happy with people using flour unless its somewhere thats easy to sweep up ! lol
