hi all i thought i would post this up , i did this a few weeks ago , it is a privet manor house that i was asked to look in to , this is a report of the second visit , this time i was on my own to to my wife being called away .
sadley the owners do not wish the name of the place to be know, but i am sure you will be able to look up manor houses in Tiptree and find it .
Hi all here is a report on my investigation last night at the manor house in Tiptree
When I got there last night I got there the first thing I done was to look at the trigger object that I left, I had moved but I believe this to be down to mice as there was droppings on the paper, then I took a emf reading of all the rooms all seem to be at background level, next I set up 5 video cams to in the basement (one over looking a trigger object) the other at the other end of the basement.
I put one at the end of the hallway upstairs looking past the bedrooms and look to the stairs.
Another one I set up was in the sons bedroom, I put it at the far end of the room o wide-angle I placed in just in front of a trigger object but so I also could see the rest of the room,
The last one I set up in the main living room,
I still had one left for me to carry around and I would like to thank my mates for the loan of some of the cams,
Next I took a temp reading of all the rooms I should have done this when I done the emf reading but forgot,
I set up 2 trip alarms in the basement and one at the top of the stairs, and one in the son’s bedroom,
Then sat down and waited at first I sat just outside the main living room, as this is where the pc was, so I could chat from time to with the most haunted forum.
At 9:10 pm I turned all the lights off in the house and set all cams to night vision
At 9:35 pm the temp dropped in the main living room from 22c to 19c but this I fell was due to the rain outside,
9:43pm a popping sound that seemed to come from the basement, so I spend the next 10mins taking a look but can not see what could have made it (might be mice as this place is old)
10:15 the temp in the main living room has gone back up to 22c
10:20 I put my emf meter on the table by the stairs just before I did the temp readings but when I went to get it I could not find it, in the end I had to turn the lights on to find it, it was on one of the stairs I am sure I did not put there but can not rule out that I did not.
10:45 local police come to see what I am doing
11:15 move to basement
11:30 got a orb on the hand held cam bit like the ones you see on mh but it looks a bit like a cobweb falling
11:45 I can feel a cold draft on the back of my neck, it is cold down her the temp is only 12c but the draft feels colder but not showing up
12am my mind is starting to play tricks on me so come back up (run back up)
12:24am trip alarm goes off in the sons bedroom, I can not see anything that would have set it off but the room temp has dropped from 22c to 14c, it is still raining very hard the temp drop might be due to this but the rest of the house is still about 21to22c, the alarm might have gone off due to the fact that I placed one of the units on a wooden table and the other on a stone shelf, the wood might have contracted with the temp change and set the alarm off. I left the digital voice recorder in the son’s bedroom for a bit.
12:50 footsteps can be heard coming from the hallway upstairs, they don’t sound like floorboards moving but feet walking they keep stopping and starting
I have got the sound both on video and on digital voice recorder but they are very faint on the voice one but clear on the video, this is the first spooky thing that I can not explain they carry on and off for about 20 mins
2am the alarm in the basement keeps going off, I have looked back at the tape from one of the cams to this time and can not see anything that would have set it off, the only thing I did see on the tape was me acting like wimp and jumping every time it went off
2:40am a banging sound has come from upstairs as I was looking in one of the bathrooms I am sure I see a light go past the bathroom door but I have looked back on the tape from the cam in the hallway but the door is just out of sight
3:20 am move to the son’s bedroom
4:15: still nothing
5am all the trip alarms have gone off in the basement, the basement has now got a sweet smell about it that was not there before also got a strange reading on the emf meter from the basement 3 times the base level from earlier.
7am :pack up and come home
I have not looked at all the tapes yet that will take time
But for now last night was good , I got footsteps on tape but that might be the only thing I have to show for it .
The alarm did keep going off all the time but with a place that has mice I can not rule them out ,
There where a few temp drops most I can explain but the sons bedroom was strange it stayed gold for over a hour till the temp got back up to 20c, the room is a end room and the rain was hitting that side of the house, but the rest of the rooms temps stayed the same.
At the end of the day I cannot say I have concrete proof that the place is haunted but I don’t think I could stay there on my own again
If I find anything on the tapes later I will let you know
