Hey lakes I drove through Mucking yesterday after visiting Tilbury Fort and Coalhouse Fort. Mucking Hall was haunted by the ghost of a suicide. During the 1800's the villagers would peep through the windows at dusk hoping to see a face at the window. There was a secret tunnel that ran from there to the Crown Inn. Hope that helps!

I live near Mucking, used to work at the studio in East Tilbury as the Sound Engineer, I live in Grays. Mucking, Linford and East Tilbury I feel are a heavy atmosphere, because it's history includes Coal house fort, many battles would have been done on this area over the years.

I used to live in Stanford le Hope in Corringham Road but for the life of me I can't remember where Mucking is. Can anyone enlighten me? I had some pretty bad experiences in my house in Corringham Road - hated that house with a passion.

Thanks Lakes but I'm still lost. Is it anywhere near Corringham Road. I sort of remember Stanford le Hope itself coming out of Corringham Road so is it off of there? Its a while since I lived there.
