In Rayleigh we have the remains of a Mott & Bailey. It is so beautiful up there. I can not find any information about this place. It seems to be that nobody knows it is there. I can not see something this old does not have any ghosts or spectres. Does any one have any information about this place? It seems to me to be ideal for an investigation.

I used to play up there when I was about 12 when I had some friends in Rayleigh! Rayleigh is steeped in history and I wouldn't be surprised if spooks existed in the area.
The only Rayleigh haunting I know of is Rayleigh Lodge pub. Apparently a ghostly customer turns up after last bell!! Some structural work in the 70's was believed to have triggered activity. It was once a hunting lodge for Henry VIII and legend tells of a young girl who was made pregnant by the Lord of the Manor and drowned herself in the pond next to the pub.
When she manifests, she is wearing a dark gown and floats around the bar area. People have felt cold fingers touch them and dogs go mad. Exorcism's have had no effect.
