Car Fax ( Purfleet )

Hi All,

Whilst growing up in Purfleet there was the remains of a huge Estate called Car Fax or Carfax....Now legend has it this is where Count Dracula him self used to reside when he was`nt in Transylvania it self....

I have tried researching this and can only find references to it being his in fictional books ( I think the count was a real person Vampire or not i dunno ) Has anyone else ever heard about this or do they know where to research it properly ??

You can imagine as kids we loved this thought and spent many a day in there searching for coffins and stuff lol Unfortunately it has been knocked down now !!

I have found a little info on it so far and it looks like it was fictional that the Count lived there although the building was real

The best person to answer this question is Dave Vee. If anyone knows about vampires etc., it is him. Have e-mailed him tonight so will let you know when I hear something, but let us know what Coral unearths.
