I would like to investigate Osborne House, Isle of Wight.
I visited the house during the day, (are not allowed to take pics though) and I can imagine that it would be quite active at times.
Osborne House was Queen Victoria's country home, and is where she felt her happiest, and is also where she died.
I sensed one room which i feel would be most active, this was the room where Queen Victoria and her husband worked at their desks side by side. Also the areas where the staff worked I felt would be quite active.

You've caught my interest with this one Kerry. Did they give any reason for not allowing you to take photos?

Hi Annie They gave no reason for photographs not to be taken, mobile phones were not allowed either.
I can only guess that by taking photographs the furniture/curtains/paintings etc may be damaged somehow
