Hi everyone,
I don't know how active this forum is but ive recently got more into the paranormal side of things. I live in Basildon, Essex.
Ive been doing a lot of research lately on locations that could be home to the paranormal. I have been to Hadleigh Castle, Hadleigh; Canewdon Church, Canewdon; Vange Well 5, Fobbing/Langdon Hills and Coalhouse Fort, Tilbury.
All the times I have been to these places, ive never experienced anything. However, I went to Vange Well 5 yesterday evening just as the sun was setting with my boyfriend. For those who don't know, this is a Well that was built by a man called Edwin Cash who used the well as a quick-money scheme. He claimed the water would cure people of illnesses however it got closed down in the late 1800's due to contamination in the water that was most likely TB.
A few weeks back, me and 4 other friends tried to find the well but it was pitch black and we was only uses our iphone torches. We was unable to find it. However, last night when me and my boyfriend went back, after accidently walking past it a few times and up and down hills, jumping over ditches, we eventually found it. Part of the structure has fallen down and the brickwork was definitely weathering away. However, it had an eerie feeling about it. There was a fallen column beside the building that we sat on, just looking around and thinking. My boyfriend said he felt there was a presence near. He has had paranormal experiences before so he knew the feeling.
We left just before it got dark but we plan on going back with a few more friends to see if we can find anything paranormal. Here are a few photos I took though.
