Again sorry i havent got a pc yet and im using my phone so bear with me please. I was walking my dog a few days ago in the high beach area when i came across two trees that caught my eye. They were just off the path and both had what i would describe as a sort of hand made unfinished willow frame in a ball shape like a skeleton of a ball but unfinished. They were both about 12 feet up the trees in the dead opening of the old trees. It was very creepy and i found them fascinating so i thought i would tell you guys. I couldnt resist touching them but almost feared them. Has anyone seen these things before and what on earth are they. I took some pics but cant post them here till i get my pc back :-( anyone know what they are . . . .

I've never heard of anything like that before. very interesting ! (I've had a quick scout around on the web and can't find any reference to anything like you describe.) Look forward to seeing a photo of it. Steve.

They are good pictures. I need to go to this place and have a look at this. Very strange but I do think that I might ahve an idea what is going on. Or at least has been.

ahh dont tease me Lewis, what do you think may have been going on then? I dont think they were planted there to try and grow, they look more like half finished cages. I have never seen anything like them before. I can give you directions if you like.

I would love to hear what you think these things are Lewis. I just hope there something interesting. The easiest way to tell you where they are is this. Drive heading towards Epping, go over the Robin Hood roundabout passing High Beach on your left and you will find a car park about 1/4 mile past there on the right, sorry I dont know the name of it but it's obvious when you see it. Park up and cross the road, walk along the path bearing to the left, I think there may be another smaller path going straight ahead but bear left. Walk along there for about five minutes and the trees are on the right of the path before you get to the intersection, they are right there on the right of the path before you get to that junction. Basically there just off the main road between the roundabout and that car park. I walked from Loughton across the car park onto the route I told you about. It should only take you about 5-6 minutes to find them after crossing the road. I have attached a home made map to help you find where these trees are. Sorry if it's a bit too big but you couldnt read the detail if it's too small Any other questions please let me know... oh I can't wait to hear what you think they could be! download large version of map hereh1.ripway.com/hermes/map.jpg
