Before I start, this is just my opinion, it may not reflect others, but if it does, please say so.
Just from looking around, it seems like we have too many boards on the forum, by that I mean, the forum is too specific.
I'll give an example:
The paranormal section includes so many different boards of all specific things that there's barely any posts in any of them.
An analogy would be spreading butter too thinly on toast, you don't get enough where you want it.
What I'm suggesting is merging the boards with less posts in them, to get more posts in the others.
What do you think?

This is just my personal opinion and in no way deflects from what you're saying so please don't think I'm disagreeing with you!
I do agree that there are lots of boards on the forum but, for me, I find that no matter how many times I log on, there's always something that I haven't read and can add a post to if I want to.
I think it's great that there are lots of different topics, as there are lots of different members with lots of different opinions and it gives us a chance to have a say about what's important to us.
I think if the boards were merged, some of the topics would become hidden and harder to find so I must confess I do like it as it is!
Ooh, theres a great dilemma for the team!! Hehe!! What do others think?

Hiya - Thanks for the feedback - all feedback is appreciated.
I've left this thread for a few days to see what others think as well.
We used to have less boards, the problem we had was that people didn't want to search through loads of threads to find the relevant one or couldn't find it and started new topics.
This meant there was a lot of repeats on the boards and i spent most of my time replying to the same (but differant) threads over and over again when i could be doing more urgent work on the websites.
It was suggested by members (back in 2004) that the board be made bigger and easier to navigate which is why all the boards were seperated and each topic has its own board now.
I agree it is hard to keep all the topics recent and moving along but the information is there for people to read and comment on or ask a question if they wish.
You may or may not know this forum was closed in early 2006 and we used another site for 2 years. We have only just come back to this forum so i am currently updating a lot of boards and have also deleted a lot (the forum is half the length it used to be) of boards as i didn't think they would be used.
If there are any main boards/categories people want to see and they aren't here tell me and if i know your going to use it i will put it on for you. (which is how i ended up with so many last time lol)
It's just a case of making the site easier for people to navigate but i do appreciate feed back and if others feel the same i can look at making more changes and suggestions are always looked at and considered.

I agree there are a lot of boards on the site, BUT I believe that they contain a good range and selection of paranormal information and topics.
I also think the more time you spend on the site the better you get to know the boards and where things are ! (Thats' me encouraging people to spend more time on our site !!)
