Female Crystals:
The female crystal is recognised as being cloudy, as opposed to brilliantly clear. It contains milky, soft, feminine energies. It is sometimes know as white quartz. Sometimes the milkyness is only skin deep on the crystal and such crystals are called 'quartz en chemise' . Much vein quartz is white quartz and this type is often gold bearing. This crystal will heal all hurts and especially emotional pain which has lodged within the emotional body. It has a very strong yin energy and will cool down hot or inflamed emotions and stress conditions.
Male Crystals :
The male crystal is recognised as being totally water clear. It transmits powerful, vibrant, focused healing energy. Use this crystal when you need a very strong yang or male energy, but be sure to use your crystal wisdom to regulate the flow of energy, to allow yourself to absorb the healing at the correct level, otherwise you will 'blow' ( over stimulate ) your chakras.
This discription of the male and female crystals relates to the clear quartz variety, but I also believe that all crystals contain either male or female energies.
Goddess Crystal :
The Goddess crystal is recognised by the configuration of a large five-sided face, which must be the main face or the most dominant as you look at the crystal point. It is very pointed, looking almost like an arrow head. These crystals are used by the practitioner for healing broken bodies, emotions and the mind. Those who are drawn to this crystal feel very comfortable and easily link into the feminine Goddess energy. It is said that they also hold the five vibration of the electronic pattern of the Goddess of Mercy, Quan Yin.
Rainbow Crystal :
When clear colourless quartz is permeated by cracks, these, if thin enough, produce rainbow colours by interference of light at the films of air in the crack. Such stones are called 'Rainbow Quartz' . The natural rainbow quartz crystals bring joy and hapiness to the owner. They have also been benificially used in the alleviation of depression.
