for those who dont know, Van Praagh has gotten caught cheating twice, and a third time brought his apparent mediumship abilities into question.
the problem we face is that so many people only believe because of what they are shown on TV,
everyone needs to look deeply into how the mediums are actually getting their info, and just because you are abeliever not just assume that they are telling the truth

I know what you are saying and agree that televised mediumship is probably not doing any favours for those who have true gifts. I am sure they are pressurised to 'give' more than they 'receive' to make good viewing.
I also believe that you shouldn't disbelieve everything you see or hear!
If you meet a friend in the street and they tell you that something has happened to them during the day, you wouldn't automatically disbelieve what they are telling you would you? Yet as investigators of the paranormal that is basically what we do until every avenue has been scrutinised and only then will we confirm what has been seen or heard.

I agree!
if these people have genuine psychic ability then the pressure to be %100 correct %100 of the time must be incredible! Imagine if you was in court for something you didnt do and that you made one mistake retelling the facts of what had happened. the effect for you could be a disaster!
Im not saying that there are no charlatans out there but we cannot simply debunk everyone as a fruad.
