Dowsing

We did some dowsing at the Edinburgh Vaults with a crystal pendulum we caught a good evp and bright orb all at the same time. This was all in response to a question asked during dowsing - the EVP will hopefully be on the main site soon and the photo is in the vaults thread.

At The Paranormal Gateway we are very keen to use dowsing rods on our invests, and have found them to be very effective. As Dawn Razor said earlier in this post, we gained a huge amount of information using the rods on a private invest that we are currently conducting. What was even better for us was that the info we received was later verified through historic data of the property which was very encouraging for us. However we have also had times when the rods have messed around completely and it has been very obvious that the information given is incorrect !!!!

I think the more I dowse now the better I get, it definately makes you more confident when the information you find out through the rods is backed up historically!

I haven't used dowsing rods yet...but hopefully in the future I will have the chance to use them.
And if the answers people are given can be backed up with evidence then all the better.

Hiya...I have a question...please bear with me if it sounds stupid, (I still have a lot to learn)
What is the difference between dowsings rods and dowsing crystals...I dont mean the physical difference...but in the way they work...and can each of them come up with the same results...have they been used on seperate occasions, to see if the same answers come up.

Thanks for that Paul...have they been used in investigations together i.e asking the same questions at different times to see if the same responses are given...but done so that each person using the crystal/rods do not know the others answers...it would be interesting to see if the same details are given if in contact with the same spirit.

In response to the earlier comment by Paul, I have always used my dowsing rods and crystal as an extension of my own mind and also believe that the responses made by both are governed by intervention from my higher mind. Therefore it would be safe to say that I wouldn't expect my rods or crystal to respond if I closed my eyes.

My husband made ours. They work really well and are really easy to make. You can find the instruction online if you just do a search. We used satinless stell rods but apparantly you can use old metal coat hangers (they might look a bit bent though..lol)

I love my dowsing rods and wouldn't be without them. The amount of people who are really quite sceptical about them and the dowsing crystal then use them....you can see the change in their faces to looking really shocked quite humourous really

yes old coat hangers and empty biros work well if wood works so will old coat hangers
