Last night I found this on the web: www.lbbd.gov.uk/2-news-events/news-events-menu.cfm?ID=1800Evenings at Eastbury: Haunted Eastbury Saturday, November 12, 2005 7.00pm (for 7.30pm start) £12.50 (inc buffet) 'Haunted Eastbury' is an innovative idea and to the best of our knowledge, the first event of it's kind ever to be held locally. Whether you believe in ghosts and the paranormal or not, rumours have circulated about Eastbury Manor House and supposed hauntings for a great many years. With the ever growing popularity of television programmes such as Living TV’s 'Most Haunted' and ‘Dead Famous’ and due to the public’s progressive curiosity and fascination with the unexplained, we intend to find out as much we could about the darker, more sinister history of the manor – a extensive history of suicide, treason, murder and witchcraft. Some of the UK's leading paranormal investigators and mediums will be joining us for what certainly promises to be an interesting evening. You will have a, once in a lifetime opportunity to play an active part of a real life 'ghost hunt', join in with various paranormal experiments and vigils, take a tour of the building and talk to our guest psychics, mediums and ghost hunters and hopefully find out, once and for all whether anything still walks the dark rooms of this beautiful Elizabethan Manor House after lights out… Tickets are available now. Tickets cost £12.50 which includes buffet and complimentary drink reception on arrival. Book now to avoid disappointment as places are limited and this event certainly already national interest. For more information, telephone 020 8724 1002.

I might do that, provided there's nothing on around then, and there's a free spot.

I live just around the corner from the Manor and visited it yesterday for the 3rd time. It's a lovely house and if you haven't been yet you should try to go, not that I'm forcing anyone of course lol. I'd say there's definitely something there. When I went for the first time, I didn't like the stairs, had no idea why I shouldn't and the attic just about did it for me, I couldn't move, felt very uneasy again had no idea why I should feel that way, until my second visit last year, I had a guided visit and the guide told us that he had just received a letter from someone who did an investigation and he said there's a little girl that fell to her death on the stairs and she wanders around and there's a malevolent male spirit in the attic, hearing that gave me shivers up my spine! So I'd really love to go to the 'do' in November, hopefully I can.
Take care.
Lynn.
