That is exactly the same as me Ben, although since I have been going on invests I have seen things that I cant explain. I'm just waiting to see a full spirit manifestation now.

My only experience of actually seeing a ghost/spirit was actually rather friendly. For some reason i didnt feel frightened at all.
she just appeared to me and reached out to hold my hand
this only happened a few months ago, and i still dont know who she is
p.s. dont tell my parants, they'll think i'm crazy lol

I do believe in ghosts but I'm more of a sceptic believer.......I have to analys everything before I believe it (and thats only with what I see........I'm even worse when I hear other people's stories!!....lol) It's hard to explain, but I can't just take someone's word for it that they have seen a ghost (except for people I trust implicitly) as soon as I hear their story the little sceptic in me sits up and says "yeah right" but then the more rational side of me says "but they have proof"
I know how confusing that sounds.......lol......does anyone else experiance this or is it just me who wrestles with their scepticsm all the time!!!..........lol

Magenta, I'm sort of that way too these days, especially for anything televised and if the tales I hear are told by a friend of a friend. I had that happen last weekend while multi-user chatting on AIM. A guy told me of a poltergeist case in Ontario, Canada but when he won't reveal the name of the school, the doubting thomas in me kicked in. To note, this school was once a house, and the owners thought it'd be okay to lease the building since most of the poltergiest activity only happened at night.
Mind you, I am the classic Libran; one foot in the believer's side and the other in the skeptic. Much like yin and yang. :-)

Although i have never actually seen a ghost i believe in them. I think that when you pass away your spirit can get trapped in between worlds like for example if someone is murdered their spirit hangs around maybe waiting until their body is discovered and they can be finally laid to rest

Good thinkings Dan.....
The murder victim wouldn't be expecting to pass over and sometimes we have found that a spirit who is 'trapped' on this side doesn't even realise they have passed!

I'm not sure I believe that spirits get 'trapped' I just think that they don't know the way over...........Like in our life, we wouldn't be able to go to a certain place, just like that would we? We'd have to be shown the way.
So my theory is, that when we die, someone comes along to show us the way (to where ever it is we are going) but sometimes no one comes to collect them (if they have a job to do before they pass over...like draw attention to something that has happened that no one knew about or to protect somthing etc.) , so they are just left here wondering about until they are collected (or shown the way)....kinda like lost property!!!.........lol........the spirit world is the Lost Property of our world!!!!!!.........lol........ok, ignore that last bit!!!........but you know what I mean!!!!

Lmao you do have some great sayings hun! "Lost property" Using "trapped" to describe the spirits state is probably not the right word. What I mean is that, for whatever reason, they remain here. I think the idea of them waiting for their guide to take them over is a good one especially coupled with the thought about the spirit remaining to draw attention to something. I think that next time I am lucky enough to commuicate with spirit I will ask them some questions along this line.

I think I would have loads of questions to ask but being put right on the spot with a ghost/ spirit infront of me I wouldnt know what to say. I feel personally I have seen and felt ghost from a young age, the early memory I have of ghost are from about 8. I was unaware of what it was exactly at the time but when staying at a family friends house I heard some one come to my door stand there and when I asked who it was they quickly ran and slammed the door on there way out - but the door I though I'd heard no longer exsited coz it had been removed two months previous? how do u explain that to a 8 year old? I also heard my nan call me and hour after she died when I was ten, she called my name and then laughed. my mother didnt tell me nan had died till two days later? again unexplained. I also cant understand why in some house I feel very uncomfortable if some one is watchin me. my boyfriends house is supposidly haunted its in haunted houses of hampshire, I never knew this but he never really saw n e thing till we started datein when things started turning on and off in his house where I was. does n e one understand this or go through this? Hi Shelly
If a spirit knows you are sensitive to its presence then it will make more of an effort if it wants to communicate something. Therefore, when you are in your boyfriends house, any spirit would be aware that it is probably easier to impress on you, their presence, so it would appear that the noises etc., would be around you.
