I don't know of these 2 experiences qualify as "Time-Slips", but here we go... 1 is one I've mentioned in another thread, where I was inside the ruin of a castle, here in Georgia (US), built in the 1840's. It wasn't like looking at a tv, but when I looked out the window, what I "saw" was a bit more like a day-dream, because I wasn't startled. I felt calm, and a bit out-of-it, and I saw the gardens outside that weren't there anymore. This other experience has plaged me for years, and I've never known what it was.... I can be doing anything...Walking through the yard, making dinner, whatever, and I suddenly "faze out"...and feel like "This isn't real. I'm dreaming. Who am I? Where am I?" I loose any sense of self, and it's kind of terrifying. It feals like my head is a balloon, and is gonna float away, and my chest feels tight and tingly, like energy is coursing through it. This doesn't happen every day....but maybe a few months or more apart...sometimes years, but it's rather unsettleing. Anyone have any ideas?

my sister experienced something weird at bosworth park. She was looking accross the field from the car park in east wood and saw a massive crowd of people carrying flaming torches running towards her! if i remember rightly they looked monk-ish. suprisingly she ran off but it could well have been a time slip.

Hey Raven,
I've had the balloon head sensation a few times (shut up Iain) and ust say you've described it perfectly.
Cheeky,
Is this sister one who is psychic? Maybe that's how come she was able to see the replay so clearly.

yeah she is. I'm going to try to get her to have a look at this site but she doesn't really like being psychic cause it freaks her out!!

I've just been reading the forums and done a search for other reports of time slips. I found this and it makes very interesting reading, especially the part about UFO's really being time machines from the future. www.bufora.org.uk/archive/timetravellers.htm

Oh, that brings back memories... I'll have to tell you guys that story sometime, but it's no timeslip story, and it isn't paranormal, but it is funny...

Rowleydr,
Its interesting you should say that peopel are linking UFO's to time machines, this has been a long held theory. What do you think teh connections with time slips are ?
Cheers
Lee

I have never experianced anything like this, and to be honest I didn't even know something like this existed until I heard about Paul's story in Priory Park.
Can I ask, when it happens, are the people/images that you see real looking? I mean, they don't look whispy or transparent like a ghost might look? Going back to Chris's experiance....when you saw the cart & oxen, did it all look real? Or was it all shimmer?
Also
This sounds like a mild panic attack. I've suffered from panic attacks for a larg part of my life and they can happen at the strangest times, when your chest feels tight and tingly it is the same kind of rush you get when you've had far too much caffiene!!....lol... next time it happens jot down what you were thinking about, doing, feeling etc. at the time and then when it happens again do the same and see if they connect in any way.
Not many people realise they're having a mild panic attack (as most people assume panic attacks are a lot worse...and they can be.....to have a full blown panic attack can be the most scariest thing you experiance!!) most of the time, they just think they feel a bit funny.

Thanks for responding. Yes, I know what panic attacks are. I have a very mild case of Agoraphobia, but it only gets me when I have an external stresser. Being out in public, ususaly, alone, in a large crowd. Wal-Marts and malls are the worse! So, yeah, I'd considered that. The strange thing is... (and the reason I brought it up) was that these *other* episodes happen when I'm at home, doing something mundane and ordinary. Washing dishes, going for a walk. Anything that has my brain on "auto-pilot". I'm perfectly calm, and them *WHAMO*. Do you think this is just a part of Agoraphobia? I have never experianced anything like this, and to be honest I didn't even know something like this existed until I heard about Paul's story in Priory Park. I think it is......I suffered from agorophobia for 6 years and I'm still only just getting myself out of the house and back into having a life (hence the reason why you haven't seen me on any investigations!!) and sometimes, when you least expect it, it can just creep up on you.
I haven't had a proper full blown panic attack for a long time (touch wood) but I'll still be sitting there watching TV or tidying up and I'll get palpatations. I think it's that little voice trying to still prove to you that it has a hold over what your feeling.....OR it could be something is on your mind that you are not addressing and it is coming out in these funny turns to try and get you to address it.

Changing the subject............Do you think only certain people can experiance Time Slips?
I'm a pretty spiritual person and I have never experianced anything like this, but Paul (who isn't that spiritual) has.......do you think it has anything to do with what you believe, as to if you experiance them or not.........or do you just think it's a case of being in the right place at the right time?

Just had a thought.
When people experience a timeslip, does time stand still for them or does it carry on as usual.
