because its a serious thread - i mean , how are we supposed to do you monthly crosswords? We can introduce new things yes but that would take us forever to do each month - we just dont have time. Besides the games and general threads are taking over this forum as it is (some days the last 10 posts is full of games and it doesn't look good.) im not sayin dont use the threads but those of you that only use them and not the serious paranormal talk this is aimed at you, its a paranormal forum and i want to keep it that way. By all means chat in the fun threads BUT dont let them overtake the forum - answer some paranormal ones in between. thanks guys - sorry if i sounded mean  |

Its not going over the top - its explaining the reasons for it is all.
We can do the chat room but we will need to arrange meet ups in there on set days at set times etc
we have a chat room on the photo site that we can use

The admin and mods do have a lot of work to do, keeping the boards running, checking for problems etc.

I would like to see history of locations.
But the problem with that is that some people may not want to read it before invests, incase it interfers with the actual investigation.

Kerry,
another group do not disclose the location to members until the night, and only the organiser and one other core member know the location beforehand. This totally stops any history becoming involved in members minds before the invest, or during.
The history of the location is included in the report of the invest. The biggest problem that they find when researching history, is that for a lot of locations it is hard to find info.
I think that the not knowing approach is a good approach to take, if you are all travelling to the location in convoy. And you know it will be local. However with EssexParanormal people travel from all over the country, and travel vast distances in some cases, so they would have to know where they were going, so they could find it and also would have to know things about the location to a) allow them to plan accordingly and b) to get them interested in booking the invests.

Re the Chat room. We have one on the photo site groups.msn.com/photoschatIf everyone wants to arrange a date and time most people can make it a chat session can be arranged. I cant get on most evenings so if you want to arrange when is best for all of you i will try and be there if i can. |

Would it be possible to have a link that shows all the posts lasted posted since you were last logged on ? I know we have the last 10 posts option, but sometimes if you haven't been on for a few days there may have been 50 posts. And it is hard to filter through all of the posts that have been made since you were last on and sometimes I know sometimes I miss out on topics that I would like to have read, and commented on.
Just an idea- rant over.

Not on this board though. We are currently in the process of arranging a whole new site, new main site/forum/pics etc all on one site and we should have more freedom to check these kind of things - i will be discussing this with all the mods at woodchester and letting you know whats going on and also on the mod only board we will be discussing it as well. everything is going change by the look of things but it will be so much better and much easier to keep an eye on things
