I think Derek Acorah is fantastic! i actually like the way he gets things wrong sometimes or stuff that cannot be verified it shows to me that he's not just reading a book!
No matter what a medium does there will always be people that will say its fake! its in human nature to distrust things you cannot prove! i personally think that 99% of mediums derek included genuinely tap into something! what that is I dont know, but i think its real.
This is only my personal view though.

My favourite medium has to be Maureen, our site medium !! she is way better than a lot of the tv ones in my opinion. She is often spot on.
Derek is a good medium, unfortunatly i think most haunted is now damaging his reputation and credibility although i have no doubt in his abilities.

Have any of you seen Derek Acorah in "The ISPR Investigates Ghosts of Englan and Belgrave Hall" dvd?
He is part of a team of mediums, it is great, and like you mentioned.....Derek is very accurate most of the time.
This dvd is so different to Most Haunted, because they also include private residence amongst their investigations.

I'm afraid I don't have a favourite medium for I'm actually quite sceptical where mediums are concerned. Most that I have met have been vague and have not convinced me enough personally. Saying that, I do believe for every good medium out there, there are numerous charlatans  |

I prefer Derek when he is not on MH, I think Tony S is quite tasty (forget the accent) and although he is far from nice to look at I quite enjoy James Van Pragh. Has anyone seen the film that was made about him and how he began using his abilities?

Hi all,
I have to say that rainbowlady(never met her) just knew what made me click and understood and made sense of everything I was telling her. I visited a great shop in walthamabbey called the white witch and they have a medium called tracy there (meant to be very good?)..They don't think derek genuine. I'm not sure about him...but you got to admit he's got showbiz style.

Dereks Acorah - for pure entertainment value alone he is the best, i do think it's interesting how alot of people do believe Derek has real ability but is letting himself down being on MH. Colin Fry - i really like Colin, but i do think that having a TV show does not help convince people of reall ability. they are under too much pressure to come up with info for guests, even if it is just some crap about a photo that has been moved rather then a real heartfelt message froma spirit. Chris Flemming - i really enjoy Dead Famous, i love the gurning faces when he is channelling. |

i would have to say derek is entertaining and quite good
i have seen him perform on stage and he was spot on .
as for tony stockwell I DONT THINK HES GOT THE GIFT (GIFT O THE GAB YES ) SORRY i saw him on 2 seperate occasions 1st in a large audience 2nd in a very small group and i didnt think he was any good

Well, I havent seen any mediums at live venues, but, for me, I think after the recent mediums program on BBC, it has to be Gordon Smith, if he is that accurate all the time, as the chinese guy said of him in San Fransisco, THATS meduimship.

I, also, like Derek. I think his personality is just great and for entertainment value he is wonderful. I would like to believe his psychic abilities are good but am hanging back on this one. I am going to see him in Feb in Folkestone so I'll see for myself then - see if my opinion has changed any.
I'm also going to see Colin Fry and Tony Stockwell in May and am not quite sure about these two. Tony seems quite genuine but am not too sure about Colin.
I am majorly impressed by Gordon Smith - he is just so accurate in his readings with people or from what I have seen anyway.
As said before I think that no matter how accurate mediums can be there will always be people who poo-poo them. A case of d**ned if you do and d**ned if you don't.
